In accordance to the ranking, Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad (QAU) has secured 119 position among top 250 Asian varsities while National University of Science and Technology Islamabad (NUST) was declared 120, Agha Khan University Karachi (AKU) between 151-160, Lahore University of Management Sciences Lahore (LUMS) between 191-200, University of Engineering & Technology Lahore (UET), University of Karachi and University of the Punjab Lahore between 201-250 are now in top 250.
“This is the result of hard work and the passion we poured into the university in order to deliver world class education in developing country,” Quaid-e-Azam Universities Vice Chancellor Masoom Yasinzai said.
In addition, three Pakistani universities: University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) 142, Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi 152 and QAU 172, are now in the Top 200 World Universities categories in the disciplines of agriculture and forestry.
“We are in the subject ranking list, which carries over 3,000 varsities,” Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Faisalabad Iqrar Khan said. “It is important, however, that we sustain the ranking we attained.”
Commenting on the universities’ international recognition, Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Javed Laghari said during the last year six Pakistani universities were among top 300 Asian universities. “This year seven varsities are in the list of top 250,” he said.
According to HEC sources, since the establishment of education body in 2002, research output has grown eight-folds (from 815 research papers in 2002 to more than 6,300 in 2012) with the largest number of publications in areas of economic development.
As a result, the world share of Pakistan’s research has gone up by 300 per cent in the last five years.

Quaid-i-Azam university addmisons

Applications are invited for admission to Master’s programme from the applicants who possess at least second class Bachelor or its equivalent from HEC recognized University in the following subjects on or before 08-09-2017 by all means:

Eligibility
  1. Applicants must possess a Bachelor or equivalent relevant degree at least in second division (45% marks) from HEC recognized University.
  2. An applicant must have studied the courses, if any, which are specified in the prospectus (provided alongwith admission form) as pre-requisite for admission to the subject seeking admission in.
  3. An applicant must qualify entry test, (if required) for the subject seeking admission in. The subjects for which entry test is required are given below under the heading ‘ENTRY TEST.’
  4. An applicant who has either Bachelor degree or Higher Secondary School Certificate or both from a foreign institution, must obtain equivalence certificate from a competent authority and must get his/her grades converted in marks from a competent authority.
Ineligibility
The following are not eligible for admission to Master’s programme:
  1. Those who have failed in Master/BS Programme of this University;
  2. Those who have ceased to be the student of this University;
  3. Those who already possess a Master/BS or an equivalent degree from this or any other University;
  4. Students who are already on rolls of the Master/BS Programme of this University or any other University.
  5. For Anthropology/Sociology applicants with a degree of more than 14-years education are not eligible.
How To Apply
  • The Admission Forms can be downloaded from the QAU website (click here to download ), along with a Challan of the Habib Bank Ltd. OR Askari Bank Ltd. amounting to Rs.2500/-. Admission Forms are not available at QAU Campus.
  • The applicants are advised to deposit the same in any branch of Habib Bank Ltd. OR Askari Bank Ltd. in favour of the Treasurer, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad (with bank charges, non-refundable.
  • The Bank Challan should be attached with the downloaded Admission Form along with other requisite documents, otherwise the application will not be entertained.

Indeed, there was a very famous case of a patient named Henry Molaison (often referred to as H.M.), who had damage to his brain and was completely unable to form new memories. Addmisions in kawjah freed 2017

  1. Designated Members of the University staff will be available for personal consultation during admission period.
  2. Try to submit the application along with the required documents as early as possible. Do not wait for the last date.
  3. As soon as the process of selection is completed, the merit list will be displayed showing the percentage aggregate marks of the applicants admitted in different disciplines against different categories.
  4. All documents to be attached with the application Form-I should be attested by a Class-I Gazette officer of the government or Class – A officer of the University.

Equivalent Examinations
The University recognizes the following examinations as equivalent to the Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of the Pakistani Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education:
  1. Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) Examination of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Azad Kashmir.
  2. Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  3. British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  4. Sc. (Pre-Medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject.
  5. American High School Graduation Diploma (12th Grade) or equivalent.

  • Equivalence of Certificates Up to Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)/ Intermediate Level
The determination of equivalence and issuance of equivalent marks certificate up to HSSC level for certificates other than those issued by Pakistan's Boards is the jurisdiction of the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) as per decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Such applicants are required to attach an equivalence certificate showing marks with the application for admission issued by the IBCC. The address of the IBCC is as follows: IBCC Regional Office at BISE Building, 86 Mozang Road, Lahore.

Eligibility for Admission
  • For Engineering Programs:
An applicant for admission to any of the Engineering Bachelor Degree Program offered by the University must fulfill the following requirements:
  1. He should have obtained at least 60% marks in F.Sc.(Physic, Chemistry & Math) /DAE/B.Sc. examination for all engineering programs and ICS (Physic, Mathematics & Computer) for Computer Engineering only, excluding sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks.
  2. He should have appeared in Engineering College Admission Test (ECAT conducted by UET Lahore)/KFUEIT Entry Test/HAT for that particular academic session (when conducted) in which he seeks admission.
  3. He should meet standards of physique and eye sight laid down in the medical Certificate.
    • For Computer Science & Information Technology Program:
An applicant for admission to CS or IT Bachelor Degree Program offered by the University must fulfill the following requirements:
  1. He should have obtained at least 50% marks in F.Sc./ICS/DAE/B.Sc. examination excluding Hafiz-e-Quran marks.
  2. He should have obtained at least 40% marks in National Aptitude Test (NAT)/KFUEIT Entry Test/HAT for that particular academic session (when conducted) in which he seeks admission.
  3. He should meet standards of physique and eye sight laid down in the medical Certificate.
    • For Admission in BBA Programs
An applicant for admission to BBA Bachelor Degree Program offered by the University must fulfill the following requirements
  1. Applicant should have at least second division in FA/F.Sc/I.Com/Equivalent examination excluding sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks.
  2. He should have obtained at least 40% marks in National Aptitude Test (NAT)/KFUEIT Entry Test/HAT for that particular academic session (when conducted) in which he seeks admission.
  3. He should meet standards of physique and eye sight laid down in the medical Certificate.
    • For Admission in BS (Chemistry), BS (Physics) & BS (Mathematics).
An applicant for admission to any of above mentioned Bachelor Degree Program offered by the University must fulfill the following requirements
BS (Physics)
  1. Applicant should have obtained at least 50% marks in Intermediate/equivalent with physics & mathematics examination excluding Hafiz-e-Quran Marks.

  2. Applicant should have minimum score of 50% in GAT / HAT / GRE International / KFUEIT Test.

    • For Admission in MBA Program ( 2.5 Year Program)
An applicant for admission to MBA Program offered by the University must fulfill the following requirements
  1. Applicant should have obtained a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.50/4.00 or second division in any discipline (16 years of formal education).
  2. Applicant should have minimum score of 50% in GAT / HAT / GRE International / KFUEIT Test.

    • For Admission in MS Management
An applicant for admission to MS (Management) Program offered by the University must fulfill the following requirements

    • Provisions about Admission Requirements/Eligibility Criteria (Undergraduate)
Given the qualifications and restrictions stated below, a person is eligible for admission to the Bachelor's degree courses at the University on the basis of a degree of Intermediate, subject to fulfilling of General Eligibility Criterion stated in Clause 3 and subject to the condition that he has passed F.Sc. Pre-Engineering or F.Sc. Pre-Medical examination.
  • Scope of Eligibility for B.Sc.'s with F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering)
For admission to the B.Sc. degree courses in Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology an applicant must have passed the B.Sc. examination with Physics and Mathematics.
  • Scope of Eligibility for B.Sc.'s with F.Sc. (Pre-Medical)

  • Seats for Diploma Holders
  1. For admission against seats reserved for the holders of Diploma of Associate Engineer, the candidate should have passed diploma examination of a Board of Technical Education in the relevant technology
